Persona 5 is a game developed by Atlus and published by Sega, in 2017.
In this game you must control Joker and help Morgana, Ryuji Sakamoto, Ann Takamaki, Yusuke Kitagawa, Makoto Niijima, Futaba Sakura and Haru Okumura to steal the hearts of their enemies. Its one of the most critically aclaimed RPG games of all history, sometimes being considered the best RPG of all time.
The success of this game was followed by the releases of some games related to Persona 5 like Persona 5: Royal, an updated game of the original game; Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight; Persona 5: Strikers, a sequel to the original game; and the incoming new game, Persona 5: Phantom X.
The game sold very well, 7 million of units worldwide, considering it was a PlayStation exclusive game for its first years.
The franchise had grown so much over the years that Atlus created a small team called P Studio, whose objective is the development of new Persona games.
Something interesting about the impact of Persona 5 is that it outclassed Shin Megami Tensei in popularity, even though the Persona series is a spin-off of it.
